I've downloaded the Cool admin template (4.1), https://bestfreehtmlcsstemplates.com/templates/191/cooladmin-a-free-bootstrap-41-based-admin-dashboard-template, in order to create a help desk ticket application using Asp.net core
MVC. I tried copying the files from the cool admin template and putting it into the lib/bootstrap/dist folder. In order to properly use the template. Not sure If i did it correctly since I've had problems doing this before.
CSS, fonts, images, js, media, and vendor are the files inside the coolAdmin template files inside the Cool Admin template
Below are the files pasted into the dist folder
This is how the index site now looks:
I am inexperienced with HTML so I have not yet changed any hrefs just yet. Do I need to make changes to any hrefs or anything else in order to make the site recognize the new theme?

First, you need a solid understanding of HTML and CSS. The author expects that you are able to read the HTML and know how to use the HTML in your project.
The static files like JS and CSS go in the wwwroot folder. The folder structure within wwwroot is up to you.
The next step is learning how to use the template. Once you understand how the template works you should be able to create the _layout.cshtml file by copying the HTML snippets from one of the index.html page(s).
Next, you need to learn the different gadgets the template provides. Again, this is just reading the code.
If you are looking for magic button that will generate the template for you, well that does not exits. Try a Google search to see if someone has already done the work.
