My SPA is angular + .net core. I host it in Windows Server 2012 R2 IIS 8.5.
It works fine. I just want to know the deep internal how it works. Because I haven't installed Node'JS in Windows Server. How the angular can run in IIS?

Angular is client side. It doesn't run on the server. All that serve has to do is send the required .html, .js, .css, etc files to the client

node is used to "compile" the SPA. the output is an index.html file which references the angular js files. If you wanted to support pre-render, then you would need to host the angular app with node.
