We have two modules to pass requests:
1- ngx_http_proxy_module allows passing requests to another server.
2- ngx_http_fastcgi_module allows passing requests to a FastCGI server .
I have an ASP.NET Core App running on UBUNTU server , served by Nginx. Now I want to add server side cache. I want to know if I can use
fastcgi_cache ? If I can please give me some source because I couldn't find any useful.
Or maybe I'm limited to use proxy_module only?? I do not know which has higher performance? I do not know even if I can compare them or not?

here is an explanation.
You should be use proxy module with core, and it has builtin cache.
