I have a file hosted in Azure under a files share. I can get the url for this file share, but when i put the url in the browser it doesnt ask if i want to download the file .
I am testing if i can access the file so that i can access it when i create a container.
How can i access the file ?

You want to have them available anonymously or with an authorization? See perhaps the available documentation at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/common/storage-auth?toc=/azure/storage/blobs/toc.json
"it doesn't ask" : it is often easier to understand which problem you have when describing what actually happens (do you see the file in the browser or do you have some http status code etc...?) rather than just telling what does not happen.

the link helped, i ended up storing as a blob , and creating a SSA . This gave me a uri to the file to access.
