I have my first web api app which works great locally. The separate client app can consume the api from web api app via local url
https://localhost:44312/ fine when the web api app is running in VS. Also I can get the api from web api list just fine using
I have published the web api app using file system from within VS. The folder is mapped to public domain member-api.mydomain.com. I have double checked access to the folder by placing an index page there, now deleted.
However my client app can no longer consume the api using http://member-api.mydomain.com. What am I missing and how can I resolve this issue?

it will depend on which version of webapi you are using standard or core. If standard be sure IiS has configured an application for the vdir, and the app pool is the correct version. Is aspnet core, be sure the Asp.net core hosting module is installed,
and the vdir is configured correctly.
