I have just bought a domain from GoDaddy, and now I would like to host the website on my own computer using IIS. Wherever I read it said, link A to the IP address on the DNS settings. I have also published the website on my local machine (IIS). This there
a clear tutorial on this? Do I have to change the nameServer on Godaddy? Thanks.

first off, you need a static ipaddress from your ISP. this address will be assigned to your router. then configure your router to forward requests from port 80, and 443 to your web server.
with a browser on the internet hit this ipaddess and check that your website responds. if not check your router settings. once this works, you need to add/change your DNS a record on the go daddy dns server to this ipaddress
note: DNS replication can take a few hours. You can test if it made to your local ISP DNS server by
