I have an existing .NET MVC project in which i already done signup, signin,Forgetpassword, social login but i did not set up the role and right management so i am thinking to take advantage of asp.net identity , but the issue is that i have my own user table
, I have integrated the asp.net identity and i am able to create new roles but when i am going to assign any role to the specific users ( it says the user_Id is not present ) just because of the fact that it is finding users from ASPNETUSER tables but in my
case i have another Table where i am storing users (in registration Table) so how can i guide the identity to use my own table for user data rather than using AspNetUsers.
Any reference complete guide what i need to do , secondly is it a good approach i mean does it also ask me to do changes in future for roles and right management ? i want to just change the AspNetUsers table with my own Registration TABLE.

You need to customize the user store and role store then you need to deal with claims and link above contains information that how you can customize role and user store along with examples.
Actually when you add Microsoft Identity along with it DbContext then it includes new tables, if you add membership system then it definitely look for membership tables.
