When I used to use Visual studio 2008, I would always publish in a "precompiled" format. Then I would upload my precompiled website via FTP. I don't see the option for clicking to precompile it now when I click the publish option.
How do I get it to precompile on my local machine so that I can upload it?

If you want to publish your web application in a precomplied mode, I suggest you could modify the publish setting as below steps:
1.Right click the solution, click publish and click create profile
2.Select the setting and select the procompiled check box.

When I get to the second screen, I don't have Release - Any CPU in that configuration drop box. I only have Debug.
How do I get Release - Any CPU in my drop box?
