I am trying to get a Sql Compact grahical user interface to design the database like what we do in Ms Access.
I am using VS2017 and 2019 and I found both no longer have a option from drop down menu to seclect SQL Compact for connection like in VS2015 etc.
So any separate designer I can use ? Or there is add in to VS for it ? My SQL Management Studio 2017 also does not have connection to it as well.
I tried Web Platform Installer but it can install Add in up to VS 2010 only.
Please help, thanks.

As far as I known,Sql Compact has been deprecated in visual studio,so it's better for you to use SQL Server Express or SQL LocalDB. You could see as below:
If you still want to use it ,you should use some tool , for instance I suggest that you could use SQLite/SQL Server Compact Toolbox,it could add support in vs for Sql Compact file, after installing this toolbox, you could open .sdf file in
Here are links for download tool and how to use it.I hope it could help you.
