I was following
this quickstart, which shows how to install SignalR in an ASP.NET Core web site via the "Add client-side library" feature of VS. However, that shows how to install version 1.x, and no matter what I try to enter in the Library textbox, I either get offered
versions up to 1.1.4, but no further, or it doesn't show me anything at all.
However, Nuget shows that the latest version of Microsoft.AspNet.SignalR.Core is 2.4.1.
Anyone any idea how I add the latest version of SignalR to my web site?

You are confusing the server side version with the client side version.

Ah, so the latest client-side is 1.1.4?
Makes sense, thanks.

Currently, the latest version is 1.1.4 and we can find the Version History from https://www.npmjs.com/package/@aspnet/signalr
