I am reading this tutorial -
I already have a database, tables and stored procedures defined separately in SQL.
From VS point, Is migration process still required to be followed ?

No you don't need to perform
migration because you have:
You can now perform database programming using Entity Framework core.
Read this tutorial which implements the
Database - First Approach of EF Core i.e. the entity classes and DBContext class is created using DotNet CLI Scaffold Command. You are basically doing the same thing.

changes on the database side and generating C# classes from it.
You can also change your mind later if you want. It all depends on what you consider to be your "source of truth" for the model design.
