Only the text_align work on the following code. Size and weight does not work. When I add the font info in the checkbox code nothing works not even the text-align. Only the text-align work in the TD code. What am I doing incorrect?
<td style="font-size: xx-large; font-weight: bold; text-align: center; " >
<asp:checkbox ID="chk2" runat="server" />

What result do you get? What result do you want to get?
Your checkbox doesn't seem to have any text associated with it, so what do you expect font-size and font-weight to do?

Paul, I was hoping to get the little check mark that the user have to
SELECT to get bigger. How do I get that check mark to get bigger?

I'm not a webforms person but in straight html I would add zoom: 2 as a style/css to the checkbox
<input type='checkbox' style='zoom: 2'/>
or you can do it with 'transform'
<input id='standard' type='checkbox' />
<input id='zoomed' type='checkbox' style='zoom: 2'/>
<label for='zoomed'>Zoom 2</label><br/>
<input id='scaled' type='checkbox' style='transform: scale(2)'/>

As PaulTheSmith mentioned, the
zoom CSS property can be used to control the magnification level of an element. To apply it to your asp:CheckBox control, you can try:
<td style="text-align: center;">
<asp:CheckBox ID="chk1" runat="server" Text="No" /> <asp:CheckBox ID="chk2" runat="server" Text="YES" />
