While troubleshooting an unrelated issue with my hosting provider I was made aware that there was an error in the (shared) server log.
Application domain: /LM/W3SVC/105aaaaa03/ROOT-6-13181111122218313614
Trust level: Full
Application Virtual Path: /
Application Path: h:\root\home\bd-001\www\vt\
Process ID: 19716
Process name: w3wp.exe
Account name: NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE
Exception type: ConfigurationErrorsException
Exception message: Unsecured Passwords Format Detected. The Membership Provider that contains the unsecure passwords format is: MySQLMembershipProvider. The obsoleted password format is: Clear.
There is nothing in the root of my site (live or local). I am using SQL Express and the SimpleMembershipProvider.
What is going on, and is there anything I need to do?

Could you please show SimpleMembershipProvider configuration , and also refer to below threads which discuss same topic :

Maybe in the machine.config file ? You don't have direct access but it should be exposed using for example
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.web.security.membership.providers?view=netframework-4.7.2 (which in turn likely uses the config API which expose the whole hierarchy of configuration files).
Do you see more than one provider ? It seems more something that should be handled by the hosting service.
