You may have SQLLocalDB already: run sqllocaldb i from the command prompt. If it shows an instance name you can use (localdb)\<instance>to connect to that instance. If the command is not found, you may have to run the install again and add the "SQL Server
Data Tools" feature. It should allow to start...

AFAIK VS2015 include sqlexpress edition, if not you can download it
or install ssms 17 with localdb

If you are not sure if local db is installed, or not sure which database name you should use to connect to it ,you can running 'sqllocaldb info' command in prompt command , it will show you existing databases names .
If the sql local db is not installed , you can adding the "SQL Server Data Tools" from the VS2015 setup installer to add the feature .
