just a question about how to read the log file of db sql server
I have this query :
[Number of Locks],
WHERE Operation IN
Last week, an admin told us that the log file is growth ..and he make a skrink about this log file.
I would like to investigate what's happen about this log file ...
do you think i can execute this query on the db on production (> 10 Millions of records ?)
is it a good idea or how i can investigate about the log file growth ?
thanks for all

And you are 100% this is because you had an unusual activity on your db or could it be that log files are not saved ? (which is REQUIRED in full recovery mode).

thanks for your reply ..
i'm sure about NOTHING !
We have just receive a mail, from the admin who tell us he made a shrinck about the log file because some activity has been monitored...
i've run the query with include a top 1000 ...and of course with a shrinck HAS BEEN PROCESS we have NOT SO MANY INFORMATION in this file :-( !
if the problem occur again i will try to run the query and try do decrypt what happen 's ...
