i was reading lots of articles about when to choose .NET Framework and when to go with .NET Core. i know the advantages and the disadvantage of each but what i don't understand is if by choosing .NET Framework i am going to loose new features that .NET Core
Lately, i see that lots of features works only on .NET Core like TagHelpers and more.
Is Microsoft going to add more new features like this also to the old .NET Framework or they are only going to fix bugs and no make the .NET Framework more innovated?

in general new features are .net core only, especially asp.net features. most of the recent updates to the .net framework have been for desktops apps (other than the new web client). but once .net core 3.0 comes out, which is the desktop version, I expect
even these will stop.
note: The MVC team is not large (well under 10), so its totally focused on asp.net core.

if it officially? If yes, so it means that every new ASP.NET project should be based on .NET Core.

I can only say that microsoft does not say to give up .NET Framework.
Maybe later will add these new features.
The current trend and focus is new technology on .NET Core.
I think the new features, .NET Core is still more than .NET Framework.
