So we're building a web API on a couple year old system built on WebForms. I'd like to use more up to date technology on any new projects that I do (including making this API).
I really like the feel of ASP Core's process for MVC Web API controllers, and would like to use it within the current existing WebForm app.
Does anybody have any tips, warnings or resources?
P.S. First post, sorry if I broke any rules.

Surely you can make ASP.NET Core Web APIs and call it in your WebForms app. That's the beauty of REST as it allows other apps (Mobile, Web Apps and even Desktop Apps) to consume our API via EndPoints. This would enable our application to allow clients
to access data in any form of application for as long as it supports HTTP services. Check this docs on how to comsume Web API from a .NET Client: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/web-api/overview/advanced/calling-a-web-api-from-a-net-client
