Hi, I have an old web app in .net that used Excel connector which doesn't work on 64 bit systems anymore: Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;
I opened it in VS, updated the code so it uses Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0; (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255) and it works OK when fired directly from
But when I "build/rebuild solution" and copy the files back to the IIS server, it is still looking for Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0.
I also tried "build/rebuild web site" and "build/publish web site/(into ZIP). but it's still the same after deployment, it is still looking for Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 which is not present anywhere in source code anymore.
On server is the same tree of files that I have in my VS (it's not just a single file or something), same as it was before. I tried deleting all and copyinf new files into empty directory.
Is there a cache or something in IIS or should I deploy it somewhat differently?

You should post to IIS forum.

Seems surprising. Could it be that it is taken from a connection string stored somewhere ? Or you are not publishing at the correct place ? Which error do you see exactly ?
