The below sysmail_add_account_sp executes successfully, but sending mail fails I think because smtp_Adventure-Works.com does not exist.
@account_name = 'testMailAccount',
@description = 'Mail account for administrative e-mail.',
@email_address = 'myAccount@yahoo.com',
@display_name = 'testDisplayname',
@mailserver_name = 'smtp.Adventure-Works.com' ;
I have Windows 10 pro and there is no SMTP server available.
What are the experts using for their SMTP? This is not my computer at work which has SMTP, rather, this is my home computer with no SMTP.
Thanks for any advice.

SMTP is the only way to send mail.
I understand that on your home machine you are not available with SMTP server.
In that case, You can try to use other companies SMTP like Gmail or Yahoo.
$From = "YourEmail@gmail.com"
$To = "TOEmail@YourDomain.com"
$Cc = "CC@YourDomain.com"
$Attachment = "C:\temp\demo.txt"
$Subject = "Email Subject"
$Body = "Insert body text here"
$SMTPServer = "smtp.gmail.com"
$SMTPPort = "587"
Send-MailMessage -From $From -to $To -Cc $Cc -Subject $Subject `
-Body $Body -SmtpServer $SMTPServer -port $SMTPPort -UseSsl `
-Credential (Get-Credential) -Attachments $Attachment
