We have a existing database and need to enable "Always Encrypted" for few columns. All example through google shows that the configuration using configuration manager. Is it possible to create a stored procedure for altering exiting tables to have Always
Encrypted for columns and execute that store procedure using ado.net?
Thanks in advance

You may find some more information at
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/security/encryption/always-encrypted-database-engine?view=sql-server-2017#configuring-always-encrypted and around.
My understanding is that not all steps can be done on the server side as the purpose is precisely to not handle encryption/decryption there. If you need further help a specialized SQL Server forum at https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home
is likely better.
