We are building a Xamarin.Forms application to authenticate with Azure AD. We are using the library ADAL.Net (https://github.com/AzureAD/azure-activedirectory-library-for-dotnet).
When a user tries to login, the onmicrosoft.com webpage is shown. When a user enters his username, it gets redirected to our AD server which is fine. This works in any network.
However, when we try to login in the same network as where the AD and our other websites are hosted, we get a 404 error when we get redirected after entering the email address in the
onmicrosoft.com webpage. This happens on certain devices within the network, not all.
The reason for this is unclear. There are no audit logs in Azure for the failed attempts, and no logs in within the Xamarin.Forms app. Only a blank page (with 404 error) is shown.
What can we do to resolve this problem? The problem must be somewhere in Azure or the AD config.

According to your description, I found you have enabled the Azure AD Connect user sign-in options.
Could you please tell me which user sign-in method you have used for your organization? Password hash synchronization, Pass-through authentication or federated sign-in?
Besides, I suggest you could try to use fiddler to trance the request in different network environment.
Then you could compare these request to find the difference between them.

Currently we are only using federated sign-in.
We tried to use Fiddler, but that didn't work out due HTTPS.

When you try to authenticate by using the Azure Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL) for Android, Federation sign-in may fail. Specifically, the application triggers an AuthenticationException error when it tries to display the login page.
In Google Chrome, the STS login page might be called out as unsafe. This issue occurs only on Android devices, for any application that uses ADAL for Android to connect to a Federation serve
