I have to make a change to an MVC2 project which uses EF 5 on Visual Studio 2010 and I find that the entity data model designer is missing.
So when I want to do a database update of my EF model, I cannot get the graphical screen of the database design from which I can right click and update automatically. I used to be able to do it but I cannot do so now.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling EF 5 but this makes no difference. I see questions asked about this for other versions of Visual Studio, but not for 2010. How do I fix this?

I would say post to the MSDN EF forum for help.

First of all, as DA924 told, we could post this kind of thread to the MSDN EF form, as far as I know, there is the Professional person who supports it ;
and I found some relationship thread for you. hope there is something good for you
Go to "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache" and search for "EFTools.msi".
You should find two files, just install the most recent one (it should be about 960KB).
Good Luck :)

That solution tried (and failed) to update VS 2013 rather than VS 2010. I will post in the other forum.
