Alot of the ids are set like User Id | Course Number
button.Id = 8e976af3-94b4-4fb2-836c-8f4429d8f8a5|14587
I submitted a ticket to Telerik and it does not appear it is anything connected to their product, but this: The exception might be thrown by the jQuery Sizzle selector. I could assume from the text and the screenshot that you use a special character '|'
- it should be escaped if used in selector as explained in
this jQuery article.
What I am trying to figure out is:
Why did this start to happen in Production all of a sudden?
In our test area, it is working fine! No issues at all.
So could it be the web server that host the Production database or would it all be connected to IE 11?
Another thing is: It works FINE in EDGE. No issues at all.
Just wonder if anyone has seen this issue and can help us determine why this changed all of a sudden.

Appears the PIPE will not work per this:
Only combinations of alphanumeric characters and the underscore character ( _ ) are valid values for this property. Including spaces or other invalid characters will cause an ASP.NET page parser error.
Just curious why all of a sudden it doesn't work, but did before!

According to your description and error message, i can not know the reason of caused this issue. You say you use the jQuery Sizzle selector so caused this issue, as far as i know, this issue maybe caused by spelling error, control read etc. So i hope you
could share your code for us to check!
Also here are someone who meet the similar issue, please check:
uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: # Line 0:

We ended up changing the PIPE to another item that was allow to be used in a control as an ID.
