Back in 2010, one could include a Web Deployment Project in an installer project. This doesn't seem to be an option in VS2017. Is there another way to add an ASP.NET Web Application Project output to an installer project without adding it as individual files?

In Visual Studio 2017, for deployment we have a different option called "Publish: to deploy WebProjects. However if You are talking about
WebSetUpProject, then you can install the extension provided by Microsoft to add old installer in Visual Studio 2017

The extension is what I am using. because I have a complex installer project that involves windows services, WinForms projects, and an ASP.NET WAP. But I don't see how to include the web application project output into the installer. If I add it as project
output, all I get is the compiled dll without the folders and placeholders needed to actually run the asp.net project.
Edit: 2017-Dec-4. I was unable to get this working. I have moved instead to WiX.
