i just heard gulp does some automation to minify and merge js/css files but asp.net has in build mechanism called bundling and minification then why we should use gulp?
please some light on this topic that what else we can do with gulp other than bundling and minification of js/css files.

As mentioned in the documentation, if your app bundling and minification workflow requires additional processes such as image processing, cache busting, CDN assest processing, etc., then you can convert the Bundle and Minify process to Gulp as the following

which version of VS IDE you are using i do not but i used VS 2013 and there BundleConfig.cs is created but what is the file name in your picture for bundling ?
can we use gulp with VS2013 IDE?
