I have a WebService developed in VB.NET that works perfectly on IIS.
However I have to make it available on an APACHE server.
Are there any drawbacks or is the transition peaceful?
What are the steps for this process?

I try to find the MSDN document on this topic but unfortunately I did not able to find one.
I find one link which may help you and give some information.
Consuming a .NET Web Service with Apache AXIS

Thanks for the quick reply. However I'm interested not in consuming, but supplying the Web Service with an APACHE Server.
The OS might by Windows based. My big interest is to know if it will work with APACHE instead of IIS.
If I can help you in anything, please shot.

If you are running Linux then you need Mono. If you are running Apache in Windows then you need a mod for ASP.
Your best bet is to visit Apache support or Google.
