I was trying to put up a website that will be friendly with mobile without changing the url, so I deployed 51 Degrees Foundation DLL, but to make me idea work, I created two MasterPage (MasterPage.master AND MasterPageM.master) for Desktop and Mobile respectively.
In my master.cs page I have their references as follows:
public partial class MasterPage : System.Web.UI.MasterPage
public partial class MasterPageM : System.Web.UI.MasterPage
But when I try to run the application I get an error message as
"MasterPageM is not allowed here because it does not extend class System.web.UI.MasterPage'
please any Idea on how I can resolve this issue.

According to your description and code, I make a test in my side, I put the above code in my master page, then create a new content page with this master page, it works fine.
So I hope you could give us a detailed description of you how to operate these and how to use the master page, and what code caused this error.
Also If you want to use a responsive layout for your page, I think BootStrap is a good layout frame for different size page.
