Hello friends! I am trying to implement star rating feature in one of my ASP.NET MVC project and there are possibilities of partial ratings like 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 (0 - 5) etc. I don't have that much knowledge on this and tried to follow the following tutorials
that seems promising but not fully understandable:
I got almost in the second link but prefer to implement the first one I mean the same star rating system that's in the Mike's blog. I would expect some ideas or any tutorial from the experts that fully explains the way to do so. Thanks.
Note: My scenario would be something like the following image:

According to your description and needs, if you want to use star rating in your project, I think exist abundant jQuery plugin. You could complete it easily through plugin.
jQuery AJAX Star Rating plugin with Average Rating Value in Decimal from database in ASP.Net:
Turn a number into star rating display using jQuery and CSS:
Flexible Star Rating System with jQuery - jRating:
As far as I know, it through the value to change the control style in jQuery. This is the star rating principle.

Eric Du! Thanks for the solutions and my preferred is the last one - jRating. It works just fine. I just want to know if it's possible to hold the ratings in the front-end like if the average rating 4.6 in the database table, then the stars should be shown
accordingly. I've already seen the plugin and tried to customize as follows:
length : 5,
decimalLength : 1,
//Any property that should highlight the star ratings from the database table
