image size is a tradeoff between size and clarity. It is common with android mobile devices, to have multiple images, each one designed the target screen size. android (and IOS) have naming schemes for the images with native apps, and media queries can be
used for html apps.
ideally the image would be 1 pixel per screen pixel. here is a list of common screen sizes:
here is an android doc on picking sizes:

According to your description, I am not clear your scenario. I guess you have three image size:
1. Original Image Size.
2. After cut Image Size.
3. Html Image Size.
Now the market department ask you what size image you need, but you don't which one is needs? Yes Or NO?
If my understaing is right, I think if you want to use original image size, then modify it in the page, it will modify the quality of the image, so I think the html image size is you need, that means is what size of the div, what is your image size you need!
Also about how to check the width and height of the div, you could use browser F12 to check.

@jbetancourt => thanks
@bruce => thanks for the links and the explianation
@eric du => no, some people when they see the template
find image are not really nice it's seem image
are compress !
i wonder if the best chose is to find the correct
width and heigth of the device and ask
image with the width and heigth
i've send the width and the height
of my image after have cut.
i will see ...
thanks for all
