Hello everyone and thanks for your help in advance. I am redeveloping a site using MVC from an old webforms project. For some reason, I am having tremendous difficulty placing a div tag that holds the page's main content. The page is located at:
http://www.kidsurgentcare.net/home/index2 I'm really not sure what is the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

a div with a float has no depth, and if the following div, fits, it will be to the right. this is the case in your code:
your header container has a float left, but does not fill the width of its container, nor does it have any depth. so your article page, is just to the right of it because it fits. it overflows the white image, because again the image is narrower than its
you should use the css debugger in the browser to see these properties. simple fix would be:
because your background white image is narrower than any content, you will always have trouble with content flowing past its right border.
also, its hard to believe in this day and age, your layout is not responsive, especially for such a trivial layout.

Thanks so much for the help. I agree with you regarding the obsolete design, but just need this ported to MVC first (there are many more pages) and then I will worry about frontend design.
