I know that people don't reply for ages on this site, so I'm prepared to wait. But, this software isn't installing (even when I've uninstalled VS2017). I'm getting an error which says "Visual Studio cannot be installed to a nonempty directory 'C:\...'".
I haven't put the whole directory as it's not worth putting, and you probaly know what it is. The software is Visual Studio 2017 Community.
Hope that someone can reply soon, as I'm trying to build my website with it.

It is saying the directory is not empty, did you verified that?

I have, but it can't be deleted as it needs 'Administrator Rights' and it's not allowing me to give it administrator rights, when I'm the administrator of my own personal computer!! :(

Maybe UAC ? Have you tried to run the install using "run as administrator" ?
If you can, just try to install to a new folder ? (also it's a bit unclear why you need to uninstall/reinstall to an existing folder)
Disable also maybe temporily your anti-virus software in case it would be part of the problem.

reboot your computer and as first thing remove the folder
also check this link for a solution, https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/2870/installer-does-not-run-on-computers-protected-by-s.html
it basically says:
My Solution, was to do a .NET Framework repair:
Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Microsoft .NET Framework (last I had)
Uninstall -> Repair!
Now I can use online and offline install!

I think that I've sorted it now. But, not going to say much until it's installed - don't want to jinx it!!! lol.
