I need something like a scheduling table, with days and times.
Days and times that are "busy"(have something scheduled) will show the object ID, and dates and times that do not have nothing scheduled, will have a button with the text "SCHEDULE".
Should I implement this with a gridiview or is there a better way ?

You can take a look at scheduler control : Calendar control from DayPilot Lite for ASP.NET
For more detailsTutorial on how to use the DayPilot Control
Alternatively you can also take a look at the Jquery based Calendar Scheduler control

According to your description, as far as I know, you could use gridview to show date, like object ID, dates, times and button. Also you could add event to this button.
But I suggest you use some plugin like full calendar, in this plugin, you could add events to this plugin, then show it in the calendar:
