I recently (like, last week) jumped from VisualStudio 2008 to VisualStudio 2015. Before the jump, I was in the process of developing my first ever web app. To facilitate my learning curve, I was relying on the documentation in my local copy of MSDN Library
for Visual Studio 2008. It seemed to have lots of good information besides the basic reference stuff.
Now, I've downloaded the local help for VS 2015, and it looks fairly comprehensive, as well. However, I cannot find any section labeled, or similar to, the Visual Web Developer section that was under the path "Development Tools and Languages>Visual Studio"
in MSDN for VS 2008. Perhaps it has a different name that I cannot guess. Perhaps it is no longer available (a terrible shame for a novice like myself, if that's the case). I had found the walk-throughs contained in MSDN for VS 2008 to be quite helpful.
Now, I'm struggling with getting something I imagine to be fairly simple to work in the new dev environment.
Is there any similar MS documentation for VS 2015 web development that anyone know of? Thanks for your help.
