I have an Asp.Net Core application that I have run as a service. I could also run it as an exe, but it leaves the black command window up while it is running. Ideally I would like to have it run minimized in the system tray with a notify icon that they
could right click on to close it or stop it. Is this possible in Asp.Net Core? Thank you!

You should target the .NET Framework.

all .net core applications, even asp.net core, are console apps (actually they are dll's that the console app dotnet.exe runs). if you run them with command shell, you will get a command shell window. you can write a host application that uses create process,
and manages the standard in, out and error streams. but this app can not be written in .net core.
