I have a collection of LinkButtons. When each is clicked, a GridView's datasource is rebound with different parameters. This has been working perfectly for years. The WebForms app was moved to a new server recently, and since then, the following problem
has arisen. Any of the linkbuttons can be clicked, and the logic works as expected, but this only works once. Any attempt to click any other linkbuttons results in absolutely nothing. It is as if every single linkbutton on the page have been disabled and can
no longer be clicked. This only seems to happen when using Chrome to access the site. IE and FireFox work as expected. Unfortunately, the entire user base uses Chrome as a standard.
I've conducted multiple searches online and seen many older posts regarding LinkButtons being a problem in Chrome, but these seem to be completely unrelated. Out of desperation, I've included the code below, but it makes no difference at all.
protected override void OnPreInit(EventArgs e)
if (Request.UserAgent != null && (Request.UserAgent.IndexOf("AppleWebKit") > 0)) // added for compatibility issues with chrome
this.ClientTarget = "uplevel";
In my Dev Environment, everything works as expected. It is only on the production server that this problem exists. It seems obvious, that the server is the only major change which resulted in this problem.
Old Server: Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 with IIS 7.0.6000.16386.
New Server: Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise with IIS 7.5.7600.16385
I am out of ideas. Can anybody assist / point me in the right direction?

Do you have validation controls that are stopping the post?

Many thanks for your response. I followed your advice and no exceptions or warnings are visible in the console. I used chrome tools as well as FireBug in Firefox just incase.

When you click the link button, do you see an HTTP post? Are there any 404 errors?
