I am updating an old version ASP.NET project to a new application (.NET 4.5). In the old project, I have multi columns separated into sub columns and textboxes in the data fields. I need the same table to be used in my new application. Is there any way to
convert the HTML table into a Gridview. Please let me know.

There is no direct converter which can facilitate in converting an HTML table to ASP.NET GridView control. However, if you are interested to use jQuery, then here is
DataTables example - Form inputs that can do exactly what you are looking for, converting ah HTML table to nice looking Grid with much functionalities that you can expect from GridView.

Converting it to use a Repeater may be easier, and a better fit.

As far as I know, I also that there is no direct way to convert html to Gridvie, I suggest you could convert Html table to
Dataset first. Then you could Bind Gridview using the Dataset:
