Hello. We have 2 asp.net projects - one is for user to enter data, the other one is a touch screen app that has read only access, that graphically presents the information entered in the app 1. Customer wants a report to find out how often the touch screen
(read only app) is used - essentially asking how many times users touched the buttons on the screen, per day. Is there a way to do that? As I've mentioned - the touch screen is currently read only, the data is stored in SQL. Would we need to write web service
that would send data from touch screen to the other app that collects/edits the data? Currently we are using web services from the app 1 to send data to web app 2. Can we have web services go both ways? Any other suggestions? I do not know at all how to record
number of touches per day per touch screen unit - kind of lost here. Please advise...

According to your description, I guess your application is like BLOG, write article in the application one, then show them in the application, I'm not sure my suppose is right.
1. If like this, you must have a field(count) in the everyone record! when you click article in application2, it will call webservice in application1, in this time, you can update count in the application1.
2. Also when you click articles in the application2, you can call webservice in application1, send count variable to application1and update count in database!

Web app 1 has the list of appointments entered, Web app 2 (touch screen) - displaying those appointments. How would I count the clicks? Do I need to setup some type of variable that will accumulate the total clicks as soon as the new day starts, sends the
count every few hours to app 1 and resets the counter at the end of the day? Is it possible to have web services go both ways - from app 1 to app 2 and back to app 1? Thanks
