I am new in ASP.NET and web programming.
I am creating an app using ASP.NET and my input data are from some excel files with about 36000 rows.
App generates some output using Datatable and show them to the users.
Is there a reason to insert input/output data to sql server? If I do not use sql server, and use datatable, this will slow down the site or will be unsecure?

DataTables are just a client slide in memory storage for tables (or selected rows among a table). Loading that from Excel files might work if you have basic needs (you don't update those files ?) but if you start managing a bit more than few tables or try
to add editing capabilities, it's likely best to just use what you should ie a "true" database.
In particular with Excel you don't benefit of using indexes and Excel doesn't even allow to strongly typed and control all data in a column etc....

Excuse me for delay,
Input files will be update every year and output data (or results) are only shown to the users.
