I get an error that says a ")" is expected when I click a button in my project. "e.eval.call(e,t)" is also highlighted in the jQuery min file when I enter break mode from this same error dialog box.
This project has always run fine and I don't understand what would cause this, especially if it's an issue with jQuery. I tried a newer version of jQuery to see if the issue really is caused by jQuery, but got the same error.
I would like some guidance on diagnosing the cause. This seems like the type of issue where I could waste a lot of time pursuing the wrong possible causes. I cleared the cache and restarted the browser, but the issue remains.
Can anyone please suggest how to deal with this and identify the cause?

Generally when encountering an issue like this, you should receive some additional information that indicates roughly where the error originated from (i.e. file name, line number, etc.). If you have any idea where this is occurring, you could consider posting
what the code that you are calling looks like, as it seems like a basic syntax issue. Additionally, you can use things like the debugger keyword to step-through the code to determine exactly where the error is being triggered.
What does your button click event look like?

Thanks for the help. I found the issue. There was some js in an editor template's event handler that was missing a ")".
