I need to find out if the above combination causes slow performance. Pages that are only return over 250 rows takes about 10 seconds to load.
Or could this be the linq to Sql?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Entity Framework doesn't know anything about the application architecture, so the combination in itself can't be the cause of performance issues. You need to do some investigation to track down the root of the problem. First thing I would look at is the
generated SQL - try running it in SSMS to see how it runs. Maybe you have a badly designed query that generates n+1 commands?

It's impossible for anyone here to guess what might cause the slowness. You need to investigate that yourself testing individual segments of code like I suggested for the queries.
