I have an application that depends on large amounts of data being sent from a server in realtime. Before stumbling across Signal R, I created a custom websocket server and event handler in a similar but rudimentary way compared to signal r. It works well
and it very performant. For serializing/deserializing the data I am using flatbuffers (binary data) from Google. I think it would be a good idea to support custom serialize/deserialize implementations in signal r. Or correct me wrong if there is already
a way to do this. It didn't seem so based on looking at the source code (without lots of changes of course).

In SignalR 1.x, we could replace the default IJsonSerializer to add custom serialization logic.
In SignalR 2.x, overriding JSON serializer settings will no longer work.
