suppose i have sql server express local db in a folder in d drive which i like to open with SSME.
so please give me instruction that how can i do it. thanks

Why is the Database parameter needed? If the named database have already been attached, SQL Server does not reattach it. It uses the attached database as the default for the connection.

sorry u do not understand my question. suppose i have store the sql server express local db in folder of d drive and now when i will like to connect the db by sql server management studio then how could i point and specify the path of sql server express
local db stored in folder of d drive.
is it possible. if yes then how just guide me with instruction.

Oh sorry, what you want to do inside management studio is attach the DB.
To Attach a Database
1.In SQL Server Management Studio Object Explorer, connect to an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine, and then expand that instance.
2.Right-click Databases and click Attach.
