Is there a way to stop the Auto-Creation of MDF File? I am working on a project and I want to upload the MDF file that I am using in Visual Studio to my testing server to see how the server handles the data. But at the moment I keep getting the following
Cannot create file 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Booking\App_Data\BookingData.mdf' because it already exists. Change the file path or the file name, and retry the operation.
CREATE DATABASE failed. Some file names listed could not be created. Check related errors.
Is there a way to stop ASP.NET Trying to create this file?

MDF file is the database data file, it is a must component
Instead of copy and paste, you can try restoring the target database
Or keep an eye on the previously existing database file and try to remove it if possible without affecting other applications
