Now, i'm using ef6.0 with code first to programming. Now there is a big table existed, so i want to divide it into 5 parts. So how to design EF code in my project?
who can give me some suggestion about this or give me some useful links? thanks a lot!!!

On the same server? On multiple servers? At first sight I see :
- if to keep away less used data it could be done at the db level wiht some DBMS ("table partioning"). Your app should be basically unchanged and its done for you behind the scene
- if equally accessed the idea would be rather to select a connection string depending on a carefully chosen criteria
- SQL Server 2016 should also handle #1 with local data and Azure
I would start first by looking at https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms188730.aspxfor .Also for now, it's likely best to really grasp what you are trying to do before even thiknking
about how you'll do that.
For now you have a huge table and you want to keep away old data? Why 5 parts ?
