i have been using dnx/dnu on an x86 debian 8 using mono 1.0.0-rc1-update2 and everything works fine.
i tried updating to this new-fangled "dotnet" thing, but it seems like all the tooling is native code now and x64-only.
what's up with x86 support?

One thing off the bat I can think of is make sure the processor you are using is 64-bit as well as the debian 8 is X64.
