Is it possible, without generating at client-side error, to make an https request to another site (https://www.howsmyssl.com/a/check, for example) or to another port on the same site (for example
https://www.mysite.com:3055/a/b)? When I do the different port on our dev server, I get a certificate error (of course, the dev server doesn't have a valid certificate)...
It makes sense that a cross-site request might generate an error, but is there some way to validate that I really do want to do that kind of request?

Firstly, could you share us the details error message on client side?
Secondly, you could refer to the following links that discussed about a similar issue.ss
