My Web application runs on my Local machine, but on production web server I get this error pointing in my web.config:
Could not load file or assembly 'AjaxControlToolkit, Version=3.5.40412.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=28f01b0e84b6d53e' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
The .dll is located in the Bin folder but does it need to be present somewhere else for the production server to find it?

I imagine the version of the AJAX Toolkit you're trying to reference is not installed on the server.

This is the first app going up on the webserver.
I would actually like to remove AJAX 3.5 and use a more current version. IS this a good idea? Or should I leave it the way it is and also install the 3.5 version.
But should the ajax toolkit version match the framework on the new server?
Here is what I think I need to do, (if anyone can chime in I would appreciate)
1) remove references to the 3.5 toolkit: (dll file from Bin, webconfig references, and any reference to the 3.5 toolkit that was dragged to the forms)
2) keep the nuget version of Ajax that was installed in VS 2012.
3) refresh toolbox
4) hopefully only 1 toolkit will be shown in toolbox (currently showing two toolkits)
5) re-add the controls that were used from the 3.5 toolkit (like calendarextender)
Does this sound like the correct way to get rid of 3.5 and use the 4.5 version I installed from nuget?
