### Calculate CAGR

Mar 07, 2016 09:40 AM|Adam-M|LINK

I need to calculate compund growth. The scenario is that a user selects some requirements (cpu and ram) from input fields. Let's say they select 100 cpu and 1024 ram. They also select a number of years from a drop down (for example 5) and a percentage of estimated growth (eg 10%). I need to calculate the value of cpu and ram after the 5 years of growth at 10% per year. I've looked at the CAGR calculators available but can't figure it out - maths isn't my strongest subject.

Thanks in advance
Adam

To put it differently then, the user selects the values for growth rate per year (10%), ram (1024mb), number of years (5). The at the end of the year, the ram is incremented by the selected 10%. This happens 5 times (years). I need to return the sum at the end of those 5 years.

Hi Adam,

#### Adam-M

need to calculate the value of cpu and ram after the 5 years of growth at 10% per year.

You could try to use Pow method.

`100 * Math.Pow(1.1, 5)`

For more information about Math.Pow method, please check this link.
