Hi all - quick question and brand new to SignalR. I have a wi-fi enabled speaker that can notify WebSocket clients of certain events that happen with the speaker. Can SignalR function as a WebSockets client even if the WebSockets server on the other end
is not based on SignalR? Or does SignalR require that the other end of the connection also be using SignalR?

Hi Marty K.
Can SignalR function as a WebSockets client even if the WebSockets server on the other end is not based on SignalR?
Do you mean that you’d like to use SignalR clients to communicate with non-SignalR server? As far as I know, SignalR client side will define some client functions and connect to hub, and we could call client functions to broadcast message to all clients
in hub method. non-SignalR server could not call these SignalR client side functions.
