I have some code for update.
after update i have some code which have to execute in background without affecting performance.

When I has a situation like this I used async callback to run in parallel and call back an delegate. Check the link below.

Some more context could help. Updating what? You now quite currently have async methods depending on what you are using. Or is this some kind of huge, costly task?

Likely it's better to take out the processing and put it in another application that runs in the background. Like Azure Web Jobs, Windows Service or a timed console application that runs every x minutes.

You can use Fluent Scheduler to perform background operation, it simple to use and you can manage your operation in asyn mode, its up to you to manage.
